Start Date: 3/25/2022Start Time: 2:00 PM
End Date: 3/25/2022End Time: 3:00 PM

Event Description:
Each month during the spring semester, faculty from the City Tech Online Learning Advisory Council (OLAC) and Dr. Karen Lundstrem, Chair of OLAC, will present techniques, resources, and best practices on a specific topic that is relevant to creating hybrid learning spaces designed to deepen student understanding and increase student success. After the presentations, faculty participants will enter breakout rooms to explore how they might best use some of these techniques, or are currently using them, in their own classes. Participants will come back to the session to share their experiences, ask questions, and have further discussion on the topic.

A variety of tools and techniques will be shown, including using embedded questions in videos to assess students’ attendance and participation in the asynchronous format of the class.Professors Eugenia Giannopoulou, Biological Sciences (Bioinformatics), and Amit Mehrotra, Hospitality Management
